School Meals

School Menus

Derbyshire County Council provide our school meals.  The school menu is available for parents to view at Primary food explorers - Derbyshire Catering Service. The menus are on a three-week cycle and change every 6 months; after the Easter holidays to the Spring / Summer menu and after October half term to the Autumn / Winter menu.

Medical Dietary Requirements for School Meals

Derbyshire Catering Service believe that the provision of medical diets is an important part of the service we offer to pupils, parents/carers and schools.  All requests for medical diets must be accompanied by medical confirmation from a health professional. A bespoke menu will then be created to suit your child's requirements.

Digital Medical Diet Application Form

School Lunches

September 2023 - We are thrilled to announce that the school kitchen refurbishment is now complete and that our school dinners are now freshly cooked on site again. The new ovens have made a huge difference to the time taken to cook food. Mrs J Bingham, our school cook, is really enjoying the new functions that allow food to be cooked to a higher quality.  The children have commented already on how the school dinners are even more delicious than they already were.

The cost is £3.25 per day.  Payment for School Meals must be made promptly via ParentPay, please.  We ask that children stick to the same days each week for sandwiches or school dinners please.  This allows us to take the dinner register quickly and supports the smooth running of our lunch time.

Free School Meals

Some children are eligible for free school meals if their parents receive certain support payments.

If your child is in Year 3 or above, they may be eligible for Free School Meals if you receive one of the qualifying benefits.  Use the link below which takes you to the new free checker system to see if your child is eligible:
