School Uniform

School Uniform Policy

The School Governors have made the wearing of school uniform compulsory for many years. School uniform can be ordered online at www.stparent.co.uk, from Crystal Peaks Market or from Dronfield Ski and Sport, 53-55 Sheffield Road, Dronfield, S18 2GF.  A small sample of uniform is kept in school for the purpose of trying on for size.

We endeavour to ensure that our uniform is as gender neutral as possible.  A small sample of uniform is kept in school for the purpose of trying on for size.

Our uniform is as follows:

  • Plain burgundy sweatshirt or plain burgundy cardigan (with or without the school logo)
  • Plain sky-blue polo shirt
  • Grey or black formal trousers

  • Grey or black shorts
  • Smart, black, sensible shoes, plain black trainers, smart flat dark coloured boots

Physical Education

Our PE Kit

In recent years, we have asked that children come to school dressed in their PE kit on their PE days. We really value the impact this has had as there is no lesson time wasted due to getting changed and we have less lost property around school. However, we also feel it is really important that we maintain our high standards of uniform appearance as it is conducive to a calm and purposeful learning atmosphere. Children should come into school on the day of their PE lesson wearing their PE kit. They can wear it for the full school day.

Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring their child is dressed appropriately for PE.

The PE kit is as follows:

  • Plain T-shirt in their house colour (with or without the school logo) (Haddon – redHardwick – yellowPeveril – greenChatsworth – blue)
  • Normal school sweatshirt / cardigan or plain black hoodie/zip-up hoodie
  • Plain black jogging bottoms
  • Plain black knee-length shorts, either loose fitting or knee-length cycle short
  • Plain, suitable trainers or black pumps

Plain jogging bottoms, are preferred. However, a small, branded logo is acceptable. All items of clothing and footwear must be labelled with the child’s name.

Jewellery

The wearing of jewellery at school, particularly earrings, can cause considerable safety problems especially in PE and Games lessons.

We only allow stud earrings which must be taped over for PE. The Governors request that your child does not wear jewellery (including bracelets) at school. Watches are allowed.

Lost Property

We do have a lost property ‘bin’, which is kept in the Den.
